1. Enrolment

Please note that all inscriptions are final. You will not be reimbursed if you decide not to attend, whatever the reason for this decision.
Students cannot decide to change teachers during the year. Any decision on any such change is up to the teachers.

2. Commitment

Students must attend lessons regularly. If you are absent, please inform your teacher directly in advance. If you are a member of one of the school's training orchestras, you should also find someone of similar ability to replace you, subject to approval from your teacher. At the start of the year, the school will give you the phone numbers and email addresses of the teacher and fellow students on your course.
The school reserves the right to expel, without any reimbursement, any student who is absent for three lessons in a row without infroming their teacher in advance.

3. Lateness

Please respect lesson times, for the sake of everyone involved.
Any student who is systematically late runs the risk of being expelled. It is up to you teacher whether to let you into the lesson or not if you turn up late.

4. Absences by teachers

ISAAC teachers are international-level musicians and may have to go on tour during the school year. ISAAC will replace any teacher who is absent for professional or private reasons with an equivalent teacher.

5. Absences by students

The teacher is not obliged to repeat a lesson because a student is absent, for whatever reason. You will not be reimbursed for lessons that you miss.

6. School holidays

Holiday dates can be found on the ISAAC website and at the director's office.

7. Lessons

ISAAC is for amateurs and professionals. The individual work you will be asked to do by your teacher will take into account your musical ability. Students must commit to doing the work their teacher asks them to do.

8. Discipline

ISAAC is a school for adult musicians. Please note that we will not tolerate any disruptive behaviour. Anyone who repeatedly upsets their lessons will be expelled without reimbursement.

9. School premises / equipment

Unless you play congas, timbales, drums or piano, you will need to bring your own musical instrument with you to lessons.
You are responsible for looking after your own instrument on the school premises.
We would ask you to keep the school premises and furniture clean and tidy, and to take great care with the school's instruments and other equipment. Smoking, eating and drinking are not allowed in the rehearsal studios.

10. Equipment

You are responsible for your own equipment and for any school equipment that you use. Anyone who damages or steals equipment will be obliged to pay for it.

11. Assessments

There are different types of assessment depending on the kind of course you follow (exam, concert, performance, written homework or research). You must commit to doing the work asked of you. Concerts and other performances are assessements like any other, and students who turn up late will be given a warning.
